Lots of new developments for the coming year:

Rex and Seth Cruse deserve alot of recognition for all they've done in the last fifteen years in making the Northshore Mat Kids one of the best kids wrestling programs in the State. The Viking Wrestling Program will strive to maintain the outstanding foundation they've built in the Novice area and work to develop a continuation
for kids who want to train and compete in national tournaments as they get older, in the transition from Kids to Junior High.

Last year we trained in Freestyle and Greco-Roman all year. In an effort to meet the needs and requests of our members who wanted an opportunity to prepare and improve in "school-style" wrestling, we'll be training in Collegiate/Folkstyle during Session I this coming year.

School)
Congratulations to Coach Christine and Viking Club wrestlers:
Tristian Norton (2nd; Bantam #50) & Austyn Lybert (8th;
Bantam #60) who were placers in this year's State tournament!
Tristian was second in Pool "A", crossed-over
and beat the Champion in Pool "B" to wrestle for
the Championship where he lost a narrow decision to his
nemesis from KOTR. When the long day was over he had wrestled
SIX matches and did a fantastic job.
In only his second tournament, Austin wrestled great and
really showed his skills using the crotch throw. His 8th
place was an excellent finish to a big bracket and his first
year of competitive wrestling!
